About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Level Train Technician to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out in-depth fault finding on Class 345 Electric Multiple Unit trains
  • Take overall responsibility for the reliability of the fleet as a member of the high-level technician team
  • Undertake all types of fault finding, both mechanical and electrical, with a bias on electrical
  • Complete software loads, data recorder analysis, and customer-related meetings in relation to reliability
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high professional standard to provide a safe, reliable, and defect-free train
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship
  • Minimum qualification required - NVQ Level 3 in an electrical discipline
  • Experience within the rail industry
  • Use of laptops and diagnostic tools to determine faults
  • Ability to work from maintenance manuals and schematics
  • Experience of mechanical or electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Troubleshooting and evidence gathering
