We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Level Train Technician to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our trains.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out in-depth fault finding on Class 345 Electric Multiple Unit trains
- Take overall responsibility for the reliability of the fleet as a member of the high-level technician team
- Undertake all types of fault finding, both mechanical and electrical, with a bias on electrical
- Complete software loads, data recorder analysis, and customer-related meetings in relation to reliability
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high professional standard to provide a safe, reliable, and defect-free train
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship
- Minimum qualification required - NVQ Level 3 in an electrical discipline
- Experience within the rail industry
- Use of laptops and diagnostic tools to determine faults
- Ability to work from maintenance manuals and schematics
- Experience of mechanical or electrical fault finding and repairs
- Troubleshooting and evidence gathering
