Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing and reviewing management accounts, drafting insightful commentary, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and review management accounts, primarily using Xero
  • Draft insightful commentary on management accounts, highlighting key business trends
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping, monitor cashflow, and prepare VAT returns
  • Assist in setting up financial procedures for new companies and address client queries
  • Liaise with clients and the outsourcing payroll team to ensure smooth operations
  • Preparation of small to medium-sized company accounts and simple corporation tax returns
  • Engage directly with clients to resolve queries and manage bespoke tax and accounting projects

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA, or qualified by experience
  • Proficiency in Xero and Excel, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping and management accounts
  • Experience in outsourced accounting, including bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts, is desirable
  • Familiarity with IRIS accounts production, Silverfin, Quickbooks, Hubdoc, Sage, Dext, and Expensify is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A passion for progression and a drive to further learn from the team
