We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our team at Berkshire Talent Partnership. As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in the end-to-end management of planning applications, including consultations with local authorities and communities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing external consultants, legal and grid connection teams, and will be responsible for ensuring that all planning applications are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.

The company we are working with is a well-established renewable power company that develops, owns, and operates projects across the UK and Europe. They have a strong focus on sustainability and are committed to reducing their carbon footprint.

The role will involve working closely with the Head of Town Planning to develop and implement planning strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for managing a team of development and town planning professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end planning process, including consultations with local authorities and communities
  • Oversee external consultants, legal and grid connection teams
  • Develop and implement planning strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Manage a team of development and town planning professionals
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in town planning, with a focus on development consent orders (DCOs)
  • Strong knowledge of planning laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong leadership and management skills
