Job Summary:
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join our team as part of our planning and design division based in Manchester. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on large-scale projects within the housing and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on the role of project lead on various projects, overseeing the planning and execution of tasks.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on planning matters.
- Mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
- Contribute to the growth of the team and workload, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Attend client meetings and planning committees, representing the company and providing expert advice.
Requirements:
- Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or close to submitting.
- Demonstrable experience within the planning industry, working in a consultancy or local authority.
