Zest Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Optical Diagnostic Equipment Specialist to join their team in Scotland.

The ideal candidate will have extensive sales expertise within the optical diagnostic equipment space and a thorough understanding of the NHS environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customers in Scotland to achieve mutually agreed yearly sales and profit targets, and maximise opportunities by effective territory management and securing and building long term relationships with customer groups in the NHS, Universities and Private Optical Practices.

About the Role:

  • Achieve mutually agreed targets and ASPs by selling optical diagnostic products to all customer groups.
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of selling, negotiating, presenting, and teaching by achieving sales and attending training courses.
  • Gain and maintain a working knowledge of the functions of ophthalmology and optometry.
  • Reach an acceptable level of knowledge of competitors' instruments through training courses and research.
  • Secure and build positive relationships with all customer groups to secure long term business.
  • Promotion of the company's educational events in line with company strategies.
  • Ability to train end users on the company's equipment and software.
  • Demonstrate a committed approach to customer service and overall group objectives.
  • Utilise price lists, product margins, and quote worksheets provided to set up and produce quotations for all product groups.
  • Report activity, forward plans, competitor activity, events, and problems to the National Sales Manager.
