Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Performance Lead to collaborate with our Local Authority client in London. This role involves driving an improved, insight-led approach to planning and delivering organisational reporting on the council's strategic delivery plan.

The successful candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor, with a flexible day rate commensurate with their experience.

  • Conduct diagnostics and reviews of current reporting arrangements and the rhythm of the Council Delivery Plan process, identifying best practices in other local authorities.
  • Develop proposals for improvement and implement a new organisational approach for strategic and future planning of the council delivery plan reporting.
  • Create high-quality reporting approaches that foster a culture of innovation and curiosity within the team, while providing valuable insights for senior leadership and members.

Essential Skills:

  • Prior experience in Corporate Performance and Strategic Delivery Planning within the strategic corporate centre of a Local Authority.
  • Development of Performance Frameworks and expertise in working with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement environments.
  • A strong track record of collaborating with members and senior leadership within Local Government, particularly in PMO settings.
