Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and materials, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
Requirements:
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • First Aid certification.
Working Conditions:

You will be based in a school environment, working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff. The role may involve some physical activity and occasional challenging behaviour from students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
