About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Policy Development Manager to join our team at Harris Hill Charity Recruitment Specialists. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering policy to improve the lives and experiences of our society's membership.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, shaping the direction of our policy work and influencing the wider policy landscape. We are looking for a confident communicator who can build relationships with ease and bring initiative and ideas from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the political landscape to stay up-to-date on relevant policies and issues.
  • Develop expertise in policy areas related to health issues and our membership.
  • Gather and analyse information to support the external affairs team.
  • Write briefings, letters, reports, and presentations providing relevant evidence for various stakeholders.
  • Undertake stakeholder research and develop relationships to understand the wider policy landscape.

Your Experience:

  • Knowledge of the health landscape, preferably through a membership organisation, charity, or patient-facing organisation.
  • Experience in the policy environment, with a strong understanding of government initiatives and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex information accessible to different audiences.
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgement, with the ability to navigate complex situations.

We offer a competitive salary range of £30,000-£34,000 per annum, plus benefits. The role is full-time, permanent, with a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. Our office is based in Angel, London (N1).
