About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Operator to join our team at Movianto. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing and allocation of goods.
  • Coordinate with drivers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as transportation laws and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Centre Manager to optimize vehicle utilization and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including data inputting and spreadsheet management.
  • Support depot security operations, including random personnel and vehicle searches.
  • Assist with cross-dock operations, loading, and unloading using Forklift Trucks (FLT).
  • Support on-road deliveries in case of staff shortages or emergencies.
  • Participate in initial HR meetings with team members, including investigation meetings and return-to-work meetings.
  • Lead engagement initiatives on site, promoting a positive and proactive work environment.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Knowledge of driver hours regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and ability to adapt to change.
  • Driving license (desirable).
  • Excellent administration skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with experience in a customer-facing role (desirable).
  • Capability to drive Forklift Trucks (FLT), with a valid license (advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided).
