Transport Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Operator to join our team at Movianto. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing and allocation of goods.
- Coordinate with drivers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as transportation laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Distribution Centre Manager to optimize vehicle utilization and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including data inputting and spreadsheet management.
- Support depot security operations, including random personnel and vehicle searches.
- Assist with cross-dock operations, loading, and unloading using Forklift Trucks (FLT).
- Support on-road deliveries in case of staff shortages or emergencies.
- Participate in initial HR meetings with team members, including investigation meetings and return-to-work meetings.
- Lead engagement initiatives on site, promoting a positive and proactive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of driver hours regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to change.
- Driving license (desirable).
- Excellent administration skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with experience in a customer-facing role (desirable).
- Capability to drive Forklift Trucks (FLT), with a valid license (advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided).
