About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Mental Health Support Worker Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in healthcare, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Job Responsibilities
This fixed-term role, lasting 18 months, involves supporting individuals in community settings across Coventry and Warwickshire. As a Community Support Worker, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide personalized support and care.
Main Duties
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in need
- Assist with daily living tasks and activities
- Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and a willingness to learn. A strong understanding of mental health principles and practices is essential. You should also have:
- GCSE grades 9-4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle
- Three consecutive years of UK residency for apprenticeship funding eligibility
