About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker/AMHP Grade to join our Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work interventions to individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Completing Community Care Act Assessments and providing social work interventions to enable individuals to remain mentally well and gain the true potential in the community.
  • Contributing to the Duty rota with the team and undertaking assessments of new service users who are referred into secondary mental health care.
  • Championing the Social Model within secondary mental health and actively involved in Safeguarding some of the most vulnerable service users in the County.

We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual who is person-centred in their approach and passionate about working in mental health. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and work effectively as both a team player and on their own initiative.

In return for your hard work, you will have access to both managerial and clinical supervision, as well as attending social care forums. You will also have the opportunity to train as an AMHP if not already qualified and support with newly qualified Social Workers through the AYSE programme.

Social work expertise is highly valued within the integrated teams with ongoing opportunities for career progression.
