Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Director to lead our cross-functional engineering team in delivering and supporting our terminal platform and products using DevOps principles. As a key member of our PayPoint Group team, you will be responsible for driving complex IT change and removing barriers to delivery, creating an environment where the team can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps Delivery: Accountable for delivering change and products using agile and DevOps principles through a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Line Management: Responsible for the line management of all team members, including contract staff.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assure that the team regularly engages in continuous learning, and lessons are continually fed back into the team's working practices to ensure delivery team performance continually improves.
  • Management Information: Provide management information on a regular basis to monitor performance against agreed targets and set budgets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders at various levels, building strong working relationships with the delivery team's relevant Product Manager or business stakeholder.

Requirements:

  • Scrum Master Certified or relevant working knowledge.
  • Sufficient technical background to understand and challenge plans, design, and issues within technical projects.
  • At least 2 years experience leading a team to deliver successful IT change.
  • Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Change and release management experience in a cloud environment.
  • Experience of line managing and mentoring technical staff.
  • Experience in leading and coaching cross-functional teams.
  • Experience of senior stakeholder management.
  • Experience of creating an environment that encourages continuous learning, and a track record of creating high-performing and motivated teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of delivering IT change within a payments processing organization.
  • Experience delivering change within Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure DevOps knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Product Ownership approaches.
