Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Lift Engineer- Service to join our team at fish4.co - Jobboard. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lifts and elevators.

Key Tasks:
  1. Routine Checks: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential issues before they become major problems.
  2. Problem-Solving: Isolate and repair faults to meet our high standards for performance and safety.
  3. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  4. Lift Installation and Fitting: Install and fit out lifts, lifting gear, and lift wells to the highest standards.
  5. Equipment Demonstration: Showcase new equipment to our clients, providing expert guidance and support.
  6. Lift Refurbishment: Refurbish or replace lift interiors, flooring, panel displays, communication systems, buttons, and lighting to maintain a high level of quality and safety.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date written and computerized work records.
  8. Health and Safety: Ensure all equipment meets the necessary health and safety regulations.
  9. Reporting and Documentation: Produce risk assessment reports and legal and insurance documents as required.
  10. Vehicle Management: Manage the responsibilities of allocated vehicles, including service dates, insurance renewal dates, and valeting.
Skills and Knowledge Required:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance: Hold a recognized qualification in lift servicing.
  2. Problem-Solving and Repair Skills: Be able to repair machines or systems and identify solutions to complex problems.
  3. Knowledge of Building and Construction: Understand the principles of building and construction to ensure lifts are installed and maintained safely and effectively.
  4. Customer Service Skills: Provide excellent customer service and support to our clients.
  5. Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
  6. Maintenance and Repair Skills: Be able to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools.
  7. Public Safety and Security: Understand the importance of public safety and security in the installation and maintenance of lifts.
  8. Flexibility and Adaptability: Be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  9. Computer Skills: Be competent in the use of computers and main software packages.
