Lift Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our team at Apex Lift & Escalators Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lifts and escalators. This includes carrying out routine checks to identify potential issues, isolating problems and carrying out repairs to meet our high standards, and responding to emergency breakdown callouts.
You will also be responsible for installing and fitting out lifts, lifting gear, and lift wells, as well as demonstrating new equipment to clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for refurbishing or replacing lift interiors, flooring, panel displays, communication systems, buttons, and lighting, and updating written and computerised work records.
It is essential that you ensure equipment meets health and safety regulations and produce risk assessment reports and legal and insurance documents. You will also be responsible for managing the responsibilities of allocated vehicles, including service dates, insurance renewal dates, and valeting.
Skills and Knowledge Required:To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and knowledge, including:
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (lift servicing)
- The ability to repair machines or systems
- Knowledge of building and construction
- Problem-solving skills
- Customer service skills
- The ability to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools
- Knowledge of public safety and security
- Flexibility, persistence, resilience, and determination
- The ability to use a computer and main software packages competently
