About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transition Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our Transition team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end scheme implementation and on-boarding of a portfolio of new Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete scheme implementation process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
  • Support the PRT Business Development team in maximising new and existing business opportunities, including beauty parades, administration risk assessments, and project documentation.
  • Develop and lead on 'scheme specific' transition plans for a portfolio of transactions, providing clear communication to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with trustees, brokers, and administrators to agree on data verification processes, ensuring accurate benefit costing and legal liabilities.
  • Conduct Post Implementation Reviews and meet with stakeholders to discuss project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Pension Qualification: Holding or working towards PMI is preferred.
  • Prince 2 Practitioner (desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience in administering and on-boarding Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
  • Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, including wind-up requirements and interaction with PPF and FAS.
  • Understanding of buy-out, buy-in, and longevity insurance products and propositions.
  • Strong organisational and change management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products, especially Excel.
