We are seeking a highly skilled Transition Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our Transition team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end scheme implementation and on-boarding of a portfolio of new Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the complete scheme implementation process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
- Support the PRT Business Development team in maximising new and existing business opportunities, including beauty parades, administration risk assessments, and creating benefit specifications.
- Develop and lead on the development of 'scheme specific' transition plans for a portfolio of transactions, providing these to all Trustees, their advisers, and interested parties within L&G.
- Work closely with stakeholders in PRT to establish and control the most efficient way to transition each scheme.
- Liaise with trustees, brokers, and administrators to agree a timescale and process for verifying data to ensure accurate benefit costing and legal liabilities.
- Undertake Post Implementation Reviews for each scheme and meet with or report to Trustees, their advisers, and administrators as appropriate.
- Pension Qualification: Preferably holding or working towards PMI.
- Prince 2 Practitioner (desirable)
- Demonstrable experience in administering and on-boarding Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
- Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, including wind-up requirements and interaction with PPF and FAS.
- Understanding of buy-out, buy-in, and longevity insurance products and propositions.
- Deep understanding of systems and processes required to meet annuity commitments.
- Understanding of current challenges and opportunities in the Pension Risk Transfer market.
- Keeps up to date with legislative changes and understands the legal framework around de-risking and buy-in/buy-out contracts.
- Highly customer-focused and understands the need to maintain and improve relationships with internal and external customers.
- Actively contributes to team performance and takes ownership of resolving issues.
- Strong organisational and change management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines.
