About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transition Manager to join our Transition team at Legal & General. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end scheme implementation and onboarding of a portfolio of Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the implementation process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of PRT transactions.
  • Support the PRT Business Development team in securing and maximizing new business opportunities by providing technical expertise.
  • Liaise with trustees, brokers, and administrators to agree on a timescale and process for verifying data and ensuring accurate benefit costing.
  • Establish and monitor actions against the agreed timetable and implement remedial actions as needed.
  • Conduct Post Implementation Reviews for each scheme and meet with or report to Trustees, their advisers, and administrators as required.
Requirements
  • PMI Qualification.
  • Prince 2 Practitioner.
  • Demonstrable experience in administering and onboarding Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
  • Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, including wind-up requirements and interaction with PPF and FAS.
  • An in-depth understanding of buy-out, buy-in, and longevity insurance and reinsurance products.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial skills, with the ability to understand high volumes of customer data and pension benefit calculations.
  • Experience in leading or participating in beauty parades and presenting to Trustees and Advisers.
