About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a Consultant Gynaecology Oncologist, you will play a key role in providing a comprehensive Oncology Service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise in the management and development of site-specialised cancer services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop Oncology Services and participate in the out-of-hours service.
  • Supervise and manage junior medical staff, undertake teaching, examination, and accreditation duties.
  • Contribute to postgraduate and continuing education, clinical audit, and continuing medical education.
  • Deliver clinical and quality targets agreed with clinical teams and commissioners.

Person Specification
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • FRCR (Clinical Oncology) or equivalent qualification for Medical Oncology.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register in Medical Oncology.
