About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Responsum Global Ltd as a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Project Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain a range of projects, providing specialist knowledge and expertise to ensure timely delivery of high-quality project information.
  • Develop and implement industry benchmarks and internal standards to ensure consistency and excellence in project delivery.
  • Collaborate with junior staff and CAD teams to achieve engineered solutions within agreed time scales.
  • Maintain project overview, explaining the status of the relevant section of a project at any time.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and other members of the design team with clarity and confidence.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and other members of the design team.
  • Support and nurture junior/graduate engineers.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualifications.
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating and delivering projects within the public and private sector.
  • Experience in understanding and dealing with contractual procedures.
  • Solid experience in mechanical design.
  • Proven track record of engaging and negotiating with senior management and peers on projects.
  • Proven track record of engaging with and influencing peers outside of formal management relationships.
  • Proven track record of a commitment to and effective implementation of consistent standards and metrics.
  • Practical knowledge of managing small project teams coupled with the understanding to select frameworks/tools that are appropriate to particular circumstances.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and to think strategically about the timing and way of delivering project information.
  • Strong writing skills for producing written reports.
  • Effective IT skills for producing material.
