The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team at Responsum Global Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining a range of projects, providing specialist knowledge to other projects/teams, and ensuring timely delivery of accurate project information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge in Mechanical engineering
  • Commit to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in all areas
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality, high-performance, and sustainable buildings via technical standards, costs, and programme
  • Deliver technical solutions in accordance with client brief
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of other disciplines
  • Organise junior staff and CAD staff to achieve engineered solutions within agreed time scales
  • Maintain project overview: explain the status of the relevant section of a project at any time
  • Be aware of both the company's agreement and the contractual relationships on the project
  • Report any feedback or issues concerning the project
  • Liaise with client, architect, and other members of the design team with clarity and confidence
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and other members of the design team
  • Appreciate and assist in the need to generate business
  • Support and nurture junior/graduate engineers

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has experience working in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and work as part of a team. You should be proactive, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with colleagues on all levels.

Relevant professional qualifications, a proven track record of successfully co-ordinating and delivering projects within the public and private sector, experience in understanding and dealing with contractual procedures, solid experience in mechanical design, and proven track record of engaging and negotiating with senior management and peers on projects are essential.
