The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team at Responsum Global Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining a range of projects, providing specialist knowledge to other projects/teams, and ensuring timely delivery of accurate project information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge in Mechanical engineering and commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Lead and coordinate internal efforts of junior staff, providing frameworks and tools, agreeing standards, and coordinating delivery.
  • Deliver technical solutions in accordance with client briefs and demonstrate awareness and understanding of other disciplines.
  • Organize junior staff and CAD staff to achieve engineered solutions within agreed time scales.
  • Maintain project overview, explaining the status of the relevant section of a project at any time.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and other members of the design team with clarity and confidence.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and other members of the design team.
  • Support and nurture junior/graduate engineers.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience working in a fast-paced office environment, able to manage multiple deadlines and work as part of a team. You should be proactive, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with colleagues on all levels.

Relevant professional qualifications, a proven track record of successfully coordinating and delivering projects, and experience in understanding and dealing with contractual procedures are essential.

Solid experience in mechanical design, a proven track record of engaging and negotiating with senior management and peers on projects, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are also required.
