Queen\u0027s Business School at Queen\u0027s University Belfast is seeking exceptional candidates for the role of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in International Business/Strategy. This is a key position within the Department of International Business, Entrepreneurship, & Marketing (IBEM). Successful candidates will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the IBEM Department from both a research and teaching perspective.

Our research environment is supportive, enabling attendance at international conferences, facilitating high-quality publications, and fostering engagement with non-academic stakeholders. The appointed candidates will work with colleagues whose research is internationally renowned for excellence and societal impact. Current members of the IBEM Department have published in leading scholarly journals, including Global Strategy Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.

Appointed candidates are expected to undertake research in line with the School\u0027s research strategy, design and deliver modules, contribute to programme development, and contribute to the School\u0027s internationalisation, outreach, and administrative activities.

Qualifications

  • A completed PhD in Management or cognate fields.
  • An established research programme and dissemination of original research in International Business and/or Strategy.
  • A sustained track record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications in International Business and/or Strategy.
  • Ability to develop and lead a major research programme in International Business or Strategy.
  • Ability to contribute to successful postgraduate student supervision.

Teaching

For Lecturer:

  • Evidence of teaching and assessing at university level in International Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Strategy, and Technological Innovation.
  • Ability to deliver excellent classroom and online teaching.
  • Willingness to provide support and guidance to students.

For Senior Lecturer:

  • Experience of teaching and assessing at university level in International Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Strategy, and Technological Innovation.
  • Demonstrable excellence in classroom teaching and online delivery.
  • Record of providing support and guidance to students.

Management and Administration

  • Evidence of administrative and academic leadership activities.
  • Ability to contribute to the strategic and operational management of the IBEM Department and the School.
