Queen\u0027s Business School at Queen\u0027s University Belfast is seeking exceptional candidates for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in International Business and Strategy. These key posts are within the Department of International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing (IBEM). Successful candidates will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the IBEM Department from a research and teaching perspective. Our supportive research environment enables attendance at international conferences, facilitates high-quality publications, and fosters engagement with non-academic stakeholders. The appointed candidates will interact and work with colleagues whose research is internationally renowned for excellence and societal impact. The IBEM Department has published in leading scholarly journals, including Global Strategy Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.

About the Department:

The IBEM Department is a leading research centre in the field of International Business and Strategy. Our research is funded by multiple grant awarding bodies, including the Economic and Social Research Council and the British Academy. We are committed to excellence in research and teaching, and we are seeking candidates who share our vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research in line with the School\u0027s research strategy
  • Design and deliver modules
  • Contribute to the development of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes
  • Contribute to the School\u0027s internationalisation, outreach, and administrative activities

Qualifications:

  • A completed PhD in Management or a cognate field
  • An established programme of research activity and dissemination of original, high-quality research in the fields of International Business and/or Strategy
  • A sustained track record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications in International Business and/or Strategy
  • Ability to develop and lead a major programme of individual or collaborative research
  • Ability to contribute to successful postgraduate student supervision

Teaching:

For Lecturer:

  • Evidence of the ability and willingness to teach and assess at university level in one or more of the following areas: International Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Strategy, Technological Innovation
  • Ability and willingness to deliver excellent classroom and online teaching
  • A willingness to provide support and guidance to students

For Senior Lecturer:

  • Experience of teaching and assessing at university level in one or more of the following areas: International Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Strategy, Technological Innovation
  • Demonstrable excellence in classroom teaching and online delivery of teaching
  • A record of providing support and guidance to students

Management and Administration:

  • Evidence of administrative and academic leadership activities
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to the strategic and operational management of the IBEM Department and the School
