Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing specialist mental health assessments and psychological support to patients with complex needs.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for working age adult patients and older people, identifying and addressing their mental health needs.
- Provide time-limited liaison reviews for patients with complex and enduring mental health needs, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Advise non-psychiatry staff on the outcome of assessments and provide guidance on risk management and clinical interventions.
- Contribute to the development and quality of clinical practice, sharing expertise and best practices with colleagues at local and national levels.
- Provide mental health education, advice, and training to clinical staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements- Professional registration with NMC or SWE or HCPC.
- Experience in mental health assessment and treatment, with a strong understanding of complex mental health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work flexibly, including shift work and on-call duties.
