We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist Practitioner to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist advice and guidance to support the safe and effective care of patients with mental health needs.
The successful candidate will have a broad range of experience and skills, including the ability to think creatively and work effectively in challenging situations. You will be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of outstanding mental health care to patients across our trust, and for providing leadership, expert practice, education, and specialist advice to support the safe and effective care of patients and families affected by mental health.
You will work closely with colleagues across our trust to develop and deliver high-quality training and education, and to respond to urgent and critical incidents involving mental health patients. You will also provide leadership and line management to an identified group of Enhanced Care Support workers, and work with the Lead Nurse for Mental Health, Psychiatric Liaison, Education, and other specialist teams to deliver high-quality training and education.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and delivery of outstanding mental health care to patients across our trust
- Provide leadership, expert practice, education, and specialist advice to support the safe and effective care of patients and families affected by mental health
- Work closely with colleagues across our trust to develop and deliver high-quality training and education
- Provide leadership and line management to an identified group of Enhanced Care Support workers
- Respond to urgent and critical incidents involving mental health patients
- Registered Mental Health Professional
- Experience of working in a mental health setting
- Ability to think creatively and work effectively in challenging situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
