About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic clinician to join our team as a Senior Practitioner - Mental Health Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly skilled and dedicated team, providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients through recovery to discharge, signposting back to the community.
  • Receiving referrals from our multidisciplinary team and psychology services.
  • Supporting patients during psychological therapies and after, working with low-risk patients but monitoring and reviewing.
  • Liaise with primary care colleagues for step-down care or transfer if appropriate.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse, Mental Health Practitioner or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience in mental health.
  • Highly developed communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with people who have difficulty understanding.
  • Good facilitation skills and evidence of effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organise self and others to achieve tasks and motivate service users.
  • Ability to work autonomously and provide clinical supervision.
