About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Refuge Worker to join our team at Solace Women's Aid. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, helping them to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic abuse, including risk assessments, support planning, and key work.
  • Work closely with women to understand their needs, develop safety plans, and link them with other agencies.
  • Manage a caseload of survivors, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a holistic and empowering service.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
