About the Role

We are seeking an IT Operations Technical Analyst to join our team at Bodycote, a leading provider of heat treatments and specialist thermal processing services. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for delivering IT support and troubleshooting for our facilities and end users in a predominantly Windows environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Resolve incidents and requests in line with our defined ITIL-based processes and agreed business service levels.
  • Deliver IT support and troubleshooting for Bodycote facilities and end users.
  • Monitor and manage Bodycote infrastructure in the field.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective action to enhance Group IT Service Delivery.
  • Engage in new and upcoming IT-related projects relating to upgrades and service improvement.
  • Represent Group IT within the business and deliver world-class customer service.
  • Collaborate with a global Bodycote Group IT presence supporting over 4,500 IT users in 180+ locations.
Requirements
  • Broad knowledge of Windows Server and Client operating systems with a strong technical background in Microsoft technologies.
  • Familiarity with mobile operating systems (Android and iOS).
  • Knowledge of backup technologies and data safeguarding practices.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Switches).
  • Experience with anti-virus technologies, preferably Sophos.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL-based processes.
  • Awareness of current technology trends and developments.
  • Flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent active listening and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel (plant travel is required across 16 sites in the UK and occasional travel to Europe).
Desirable Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a customer-facing role supporting a complex Windows-based environment.
  • ITIL Foundation Level certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft cloud-based technologies such as Office 365 and Entra ID Administration.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management and Mobile Device Management technologies, such as Intune.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or MCDST.
