Substation Mechanical Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment within our substations.
- Utilise expertise to operate MEWPs and safely access equipment at height.
- Ensure adherence to National Grid's safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements for mechanical activities.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver efficient workflows and safe working practices.
Requirements:
- Possess a recognised Mechanical Fitting qualification or equivalent experience.
- Hold valid Competent Person authorisation.
- Demonstrate certified MEWP operation experience in various MEWP types.
- Show familiarity with National Grid's operational and safety procedures.
Benefits:
- This role comes with an estimated annual salary of around £50,000-£60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
