Quinn Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a Mechanical Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical components in National Grid substations.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical fitting and safety procedures. The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Recognised Mechanical Fitting qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Valid National Grid Competent Person authorisation.
  • Certified MEWP operator with experience in various types of MEWPs.

In this role, you will work at heights, ensuring all activities comply with safety regulations. You will also conduct risk assessments and method statements for mechanical activities, collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within National Grid substations.
  2. Operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP) to access equipment at height.
  3. Ensure compliance with National Grid safety standards and procedures.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of ££45,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits package, including:

  • 6 months contract with potential for extension.

Requirements:
