About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a well-established FMCG company in St Neots. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment across multiple sites, ensuring optimal production levels and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure smooth production operations
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to extend its lifespan
  • Collaborating with production staff to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Providing training and guidance to junior engineers and technicians on best practices and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
