Job Opportunity: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join our team in St Neots on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing process equipment, ensuring optimal plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform high-quality maintenance to meet factory productivity goals.
  2. Provide electrical setup and production support services.
  3. Fault-find and repair equipment breakdowns promptly.
  4. Maintain a safe working environment by identifying and addressing factory safety issues.
  5. Conduct Preventive Maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  6. Undertake fabrication and installation of plant machinery under supervision.
Requirements:
  1. Experience with production equipment and maintenance in a diverse factory setting.
  2. Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
  3. Mechanical maintenance expertise with proficiency in computer systems.
Working Hours and Shift Pattern:

The role involves working 1758 hours per annum, including 143 rostered 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour training session.

Shift Details:
  1. 2 day shifts: 6:45am to 7pm.
  2. 2 night shifts: 6:45pm to 7am.
  3. 6 days off per week.
Compensation and Benefits:
  1. £250 annual tool allowance.
  2. Overtime opportunities available.

The estimated salary for this role is £42000 - £60000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
