Lead Youth Worker

Oasis Hub East Southampton is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Youth Worker to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our youth and community hub team, you will play a vital role in delivering detached youth work and mentoring programs that make a positive impact on the lives of young people in East Southampton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a youth work program that engages with young people in school and community settings, including detached provision, positive activities, wellbeing support, and mentoring.
  • Work alongside the hub team to increase opportunities for young people to influence decision-making and develop their leadership skills.
  • Line manage sessional youth staff and support volunteers.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of leading work with young people in formal and informal settings.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviors and attitudes.
  • Understanding of monitoring and evaluation in youth work.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and health and safety.
