Job Title: Youth Theatre Coordinator

Mayflower Theatre is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our Engage team as a Youth Theatre Coordinator. This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover role on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Youth Team Programme Leader in delivering, administering, and evaluating the Mayflower Youth Theatre (Drama & Musical strands).
  • Facilitate musical theatre sessions with ages 7–18, as well as support on our drama strand and coordinate our Youth Production Arts group.
  • Administer and coordinate our Youth Production Arts programme.
  • Support on all Youth Theatre productions and performances.
  • Ensure the safety and security of MYT members, employing First Aid and following Safeguarding procedures as appropriate.
  • Deliver tours, school workshops, and talks.
Requirements:
  • Education to a degree level in drama, performing arts, or an arts-based subject or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Experience in facilitating musical theatre programmes with young people.
  • Excellent administration skills, project coordinating arts-based projects with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach.
  • Team player with ability to respond to the needs of a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
