About the Role

As a key member of the Dispatch and Balancing Strategy team at National Grid ESO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Great Britain's electricity system. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and developing the markets that support a secure, decarbonised energy system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust quantitative and qualitative data-driven analysis of key GB electricity market outcomes.
  • Contribute to policy development, including writing papers and developing effective frameworks for assessment.
  • Interface with stakeholders to understand the implications of design proposals.
About You

We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding of GB electricity market design, including the ability to think imaginatively and conceptualise the impact of net zero on the GB power system. You will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues to audiences with varying levels of familiarity in power systems and power markets.
