Job Description:

Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 – Aspire Training Team

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice at Jack and Jill Childcare in Plympton.

As a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, interacting with children, and planning activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations and interact directly with children, planning and undertaking day-to-day activities.
  • Deliver the EYFS curriculum, maintaining compliance with the statutory framework and ensuring educational and welfare standards are met.
  • Provide a safe, stimulating environment for children and babies, offering play opportunities that align with current legislation.
  • Act as a key worker, tailoring learning and care to meet individual needs of children, supporting their development and family engagement.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent/functional skills
  • Some experience of working in a nursery
  • You must be able to obtain a clear DBS

Working Hours:

  • You will be required to work 33.5 hours per week, with shift patterns that vary between the settings opening times of 08.00-18:00, Monday to Friday.
