This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Residential Care Professional to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our residential care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.

Job Summary

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of the young people's everyday lives, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met. You will work closely with the on-site team to develop and implement individual care plans, promote positive behavior, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and supporting our team members in their professional development. If you have experience working in residential care settings, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where required
  • Ensuring the team of Residential Care Workers is up to date with mandatory learning and assisting with their individual development
  • Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness regarding individual care plans and their implementation
  • Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files
  • Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
  • Providing support and care to the young people within our services
  • Encouraging our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to undertake further training and qualifications, such as the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. Previous experience working in a senior capacity in a residential setting is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from those at the start of their journey.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £13.40-£14.22 per hour, depending on experience/qualifications, plus additional benefits including completely free on-shift meals and parking, comprehensive training and development plans, and opportunities for career progression. We also provide a range of employee benefits, including company pension and simply health (linked to service).

Location

This role is based in Plymouth, South West region, and involves regular travel to and from school or college with our young people.
