Ribbons and Reeves is a leading education recruitment agency dedicated to providing exceptional teaching staff to schools across the UK. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, particularly those who need additional support with behaviour.
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London, starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to working closely with students to help them manage their behaviour, succeed academically, and thrive socially.
The successful candidate will work directly with students who face behavioural challenges, offering one-to-one support and helping them engage with their lessons. They will collaborate with teachers and the school's SENCO to implement strategies that support these students in a positive and structured environment. Their work will go beyond academics; they will help students build essential life skills like self-regulation, confidence, and social interaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the importance of behaviour management and a proven track record of supporting students with behavioural needs. You will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A relevant qualification in special educational needs or a related field would be advantageous, but not essential. What is essential is your passion for supporting students and your commitment to delivering high-quality teaching assistant services.
Benefits:
In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including access to ongoing professional development opportunities and training, a healthy work-life balance with manageable working hours, and time for reflection and planning. You will also be part of a supportive and collaborative school community where staff work together to create an inclusive atmosphere.
