About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Stroke Team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in differential diagnosis associated with stroke, including complex dysphagia and communication disorders.

The role involves providing support and leadership to other Band 6 therapists within the team, as well as mentoring junior colleagues and providing expert opinions. A key aspect of the job is working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

As a specialist in stroke rehabilitation, you will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist speech and language therapy services to patients with stroke-related communication and swallowing disorders

  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in stroke rehabilitation
  • Strong knowledge of differential diagnosis associated with stroke
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Able to drive and has a full license

Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum (dependent on experience)
