About the Role

DP World is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building interactive dashboards for both operations and senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operations teams and senior management to gather requirements for dashboard development.
  • Translate complex operational requirements into meaningful data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the dashboards.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to data models, data sources, and visualization techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of dashboards.
  • Conduct data profiling and cleansing activities to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Work closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data from various sources into Power BI.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization, business intelligence, and Power BI functionality.
  • Provide training and support to end-users.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; however, experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, follow-up, problem-resolution, and facilitation skills while working with various levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytic skills for working with datasets to transform data and approach these problems in a creative manner.
  • Knowledge of various database platforms, data lakes/warehousing techniques, optimization with 'big data' storage, data modeling, BI system administration, scripting, and app development.
  • Reverse engineering techniques of existing applications into BI tool.
  • Initiative — Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.

  • Persistence — Job requires persistence in the face of obstacles.
