Your contributions will be instrumental in driving Tillo's growth and success. You will join a world-class team in the business of making people smile. Our Platform connects our customers to rewards and incentives from 2000+ brands that people love, all via our seamless, easy-to-use API.
We're looking for an innovative individual who will work in close collaboration with the CTO to align engineering efforts with company goals and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: You will be at the forefront of leading engineering managers and teams. Your role will foster a collaborative culture and drive continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: You will oversee planning and execution, balance quality with speed, and manage KPIs. You will also be responsible for implementing effective engineering processes, technologies, and policies for sustainable growth.
- Strategic Alignment: You will collaborate closely with the CTO on engineering strategy. Together, you will translate objectives into actionable plans, ensuring that our engineering efforts align with Tillo's overarching goals.
- Technical Oversight: You will offer guidance, stay current with industry trends, and ensure best practices in architecture and technical direction.
- Resource Allocation: You will manage budgets and develop top engineering talent.
- Brand Representation: You will represent Tillo at industry events, helping to grow our brand within the community.
- Collaboration: You will forge strong relationships with business counterparts, understand their needs, and share ownership of outcomes.
- Knowledge Sharing: You will share your expertise to educate and up-skill stakeholders and fellow engineering leaders.
You're a proven leader, with significant experience managing a cross-functional, scaling engineering department and attracting top talent. You've got a strong product mindset and customer understanding.
You've built a culture of speed and urgency in a scale-up: You know how to achieve pace without compromising quality and implement the right processes. You don't shy away from tough conversations: You challenge your team and make difficult decisions when necessary.
While valuing your teams' and stakeholders' input, you understand consensus is only sometimes possible. You weigh various factors, consider different perspectives, and make decisions that benefit the customer, company, and team.
Requirements- Strong domain experience in API-first businesses or well-scaled software companies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams
- Proficiency in PHP and Laravel; Python is a bonus
- Excellent knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure development principles
