About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our product engineering team and drive the development of our platform. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team, executing the prioritized product roadmap, and advancing business objectives.

As a leader, you will foster a collaborative culture and drive continuous improvement. You will promote operational excellence, oversee planning and execution, balance quality with speed, and manage KPIs. You will also be responsible for implementing effective engineering processes, technologies, and policies for sustainable growth.

You will work closely with the CTO to align engineering efforts with company goals and drive continuous improvement. You will provide technical oversight, offering guidance, staying current with industry trends, and ensuring best practices in architecture and technical direction.

As a representative of Tillo, you will collaborate with business counterparts, understand their needs, and share ownership of outcomes. You will also educate and up-skill stakeholders and fellow engineering leaders.

About You

We are looking for a proven leader with significant experience managing a cross-functional, scaling engineering department and attracting top talent. You have a strong product mindset and customer understanding. You have built a culture of speed and urgency in a scale-up and know how to achieve pace without compromising quality and implement the right processes.

You are a strong communicator with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams. You have proficiency in PHP and Laravel, with Python being a bonus. You have excellent knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure development principles.
