Transport Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Transport professional to join our team as a Head of Transport at our Corby site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the transport department and leading a team of Transport Managers & Shift Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of goods.
- Lead a team of Transport Managers & Shift Managers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Utilise our Transport Management System (TMS) to track and analyse operational data, identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), taking proactive measures to achieve targets and improve performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise fleet utilisation and meet customer demands.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, effectively prioritising tasks and managing resources.
Requirements:
- CPC holder and O license required.
- Proven track record of successfully managing Transport Operations, either own account or 3PL.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Experience of driving through change through continuous improvement and project management.
