About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Social Care in Action. As a Specialist Care Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in supporting an individual to live a meaningful and fulfilled life despite any physical or mental challenges they may face on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for empowering those you support to identify their goals, pursue their hobbies, and participate in social activities. Our ideal candidate is an experienced and empathetic Support Worker who is deeply committed to assisting individuals with unique disabilities and associated health needs.

The role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and confidence when working with vulnerable people and their families. You will also be skilled in monitoring changes in mood and developing techniques to calm and de-escalate.

As a member of our team, you will enjoy helping individuals to be independent through companionship, providing reassurance, and enabling confidence. You will take pride in doing a great job and be happy assisting with cooking, domestic duties, personal care, attending appointments, and social activities.
