An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Annwylfan Ward team, a 16-bedded Dementia Assessment Unit based in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital, Ystrad Mynach.

The ward provides mental health assessment and treatment for older people, with a focus on confusion, diagnosis, and care of dementia.

Our goal is to treat each person as an individual, support independence, maintain contact with loved ones, and promote enjoyment in activities and the best quality of life possible.

This role would enable applicants to access the Journey of Excellence (JoE) professional development programme, aligned to the learning and development opportunities offered within the Health Board.

Flexible working hours will be considered to meet service needs.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated individual with a passion for working with people living with dementia.
