About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the InFocus' Supported Living team as a Community Support Specialist. Your primary role will be to support our residents in accessing the community, work, and volunteering roles, as well as helping them manage their daily lives.

As a key ambassador of InFocus, you will provide bespoke 'Person-Led' daily living support to our residents. We are seeking dedicated and caring individuals who can join our friendly team and contribute to providing exceptionally safe care while empowering our young people to follow their dreams, pursue their interests, and develop skills.

The successful candidate will have a passion for learning and development, enabling them to confidently work within their team to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred healthcare. Our team is passionate and caring, and we will support you throughout your time here.

We welcome applications from those with or without experience of working in a health and social care setting, who can demonstrate their potential to develop into specialist community-based enabling support workers in the field of vulnerable young adults with visual impairment and complex needs.

Job Requirements
  • A strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
