Job Summary:

Think Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting and Governance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all corporate finance policies, IFRS standards, and internal controls frameworks to minimize business risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Policy Management: Monitor and maintain all corporate finance policies, IFRS standards, and internal control frameworks to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Balance Sheet Review: Manage and review the company's balance sheet to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards.
  • External Audit Support: Support the external audits and reviews to ensure a smooth process and accurate financial reporting.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with other areas of finance, including Shared Services, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and Pensions, to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Financial Process Management: Map, develop, and implement all standard financial processes, including month-end, group reporting, statutory reporting, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of Reconciliation Controllers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Compliance Reviews: Perform compliance reviews to ensure adherence to IFRS standards and other accounting regulations.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare annual financial statements, including liaising with the UK tax team to assist with Corporation Tax Return.
  • Pension Scheme Management: Prepare annual adjustments required for the DB Pension Scheme.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA, with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
  • Skills and Experience: Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of complex system applications, strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, experience with an audit firm, and first-time passes.
  • Stakeholder Experience: Strong stakeholder experience, including business partnering with other areas of finance.
