Financial Reporting and Governance Manager

A leading global business based in the UK is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting and Governance Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring all corporate finance policies, IFRS standards, and internal controls frameworks to minimize business risk. This will involve reviewing and updating controls and processes, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards and policies.

  • Monitor and manage corporate finance policies, IFRS standards, and internal control frameworks
  • Manage the company's balance sheet reviews and external audits
  • Support the execution of a smooth external audit process
  • Review and analyze business critical reconciliations in the areas of revenues, collections, duty, and taxes
  • Collaborate with other areas of finance, including Shared Services, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and Pensions
  • Review and update controls and processes to ensure compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards
  • Manage the balance sheet and supervise a team of Reconciliation Controllers
  • Review Payroll reconciliations and perform compliance reviews
  • Prepare annual financial statements, including liaising with the UK tax team to assist with Corporation Tax Return
  • Prepare annual adjustments required for the DB Pension Scheme
  • Develop and implement standard financial processes, including month-end, group reporting, statutory reporting, and cash flow monitoring
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA, with a minimum of 3 years PQE
  • Background working as an Auditor
  • Industry work experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of complex system applications
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience working with an audit firm
  • First-time passes
  • Strong stakeholder experience
