Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and commission effective CAMH Services, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Apply the principles of Prudent Healthcare, prioritizing the well-being of both patients and staff.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, effectively managing competing demands and pressures within the role.

Requirements
- Hold Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or be eligible for CCT within 6 months of the interview date.
- Possess a primary medical qualification recognized by PMETB or a primary medical qualification and recognized specialist qualification from a European Member State.

Desirable Qualifications
- Teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education.
- Evidence of teaching and training of post/undergraduate clinical staff.
- Research experience in areas specific to CAMHS.
- Specific interests/experience within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £80,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement, and opportunities for professional development.
