Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join an established multidisciplinary team at a specialist inpatient eating disorder unit for children and adolescents. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, and contributing to the development of the service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing specialist psychological assessments and individualised evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team, managing a complex caseload, facilitating group psychological interventions, and supporting staff development through training and reflective practice.
  • Contributing to the development of the service, including the design and delivery of training programs and the development of clinical guidelines.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent if trained overseas).
  • Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
  • Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities.
  • Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position.
